The 2011 Technology and Intellectual Property Group Conference is just two weeks away!!!
Each lunch hour from February 28th to March 3rd (the week right after reading week), a stellar line-up of speakers will debate and discuss copyright modernization in Canada:
On Monday, Margaret Wilkinson of the University of Western Ontario and Roanie Levy of Access Copyright will discuss Copyright in the Educational and Academic Setting
Tuesday’s session is entitled Putting the Issue on Table: The Work of Practitioners and Industry Associations in Bill C-32, and will be presented by Brian Isaac of Smart & Biggar and Paul Spurgeon of SOCAN
Wednesday will be all about Technological Protection Measures and Digital Rights Management, and will feature Catherin Lovrics of Bereskin & Parr and Barry Sookman of McCarthy Tetrault
Finally, Thursday’s session will feature a special lecture from Dr. Michael Geist, the Canada Research Chair in Internet and E-commerce Law at the University of Ottawa.
